hi patrick ! i’m very excited to read your book, please put me on the waiting list. i too was diagnosed late in life and have done a lot of ‘ crazy shit ‘ although in hindsight makes sense now i know it’s Autism.
so much more to understand and learn about my brain - i struggle with chronic pain, depression, anxiety, etc… it’s so helpful to not feel alone & be able to connect with people who understand without judgement, it’s really important & so helpful
im so grateful to have discovered you & Dr Megan Anna on your podcast
Hey there. Absolutely. I'm glad to have the support and I'm glad to know that our podcast has been helpful for you. Make sure to check out my podcast, The Nerd Average Entrepreneur, and also my YouTube and my Instagram. I have a ton of content and a ton of free resources and guides for you to help hold you over until the book comes out
Yes, if you have a book in you, just write! As much or as little as you can, whenever you can, and don't worry about other people's ideas of how things should be done - just get it down, in whatever way works for you. It can all be edited and sorted out later.
Of course it's a lot of work, but it will be well worth it, if it makes it into print and helps others.
My autism memoir Mothertongue was shortlisted in the UK's prestigious Northern Writers' Awards and published earlier this month by Thorn & Haw. The whole process has been stressful, but the warmth of the response from readers has already been amazing.
